C.1900. An antique enamel and diamond tiger pin with stunning details. The enamel work is executed beautifully mimicking rich golden fur and the realistic pattern of the figure. He is definitely our favorite tiger among many we've seen. We also fell in love with the fact that this pin shows the tiger's profile, not the front face which is more commonly seen. The tiger's eye is made of a small old cut diamond, and a larger prong-set old European cut diamond (0.17ct) in the mouth is very bright and clear. The pin is crafted in 14k gold, and still has a clip on the back, which would have been used to hang a watch originally. The pin clasp is in good working order, and a small loop can be added if desired, so the pin can be worn as a pendant as well. Overall this tiger pin is in great condition.
