C.1831. Black enamel memorial ring with a center locket. This 18k gold mourning ring has a beautifully done flower-chased decoration that goes around the band, and the center locket displays an intact, woven lock of hair. Inside the band, the hand engraving reads; ‘Charlotte Milne ob 12 Jan 1831 Aet 72’. The back of the center locket shows a beautiful engraving of ‘CM’. 

The ring is overall in very good condition; a small nick on the bottom right of center locket, however it is nearly invisible since the enamel is not damaged. The ring has been preserved beautifully.

The center hair locket can be replaced to any semi-precious gem stone upon request.
