Late 19th Century Agate Witch's Heart Pendant

C.1880. An adorable agate witch's heart pendant. Originally found as a stick pin (with French import owl hallmark), and we converted it into a small pendant by adding 14k gold loops. This shape of heart was a love token to symbolize the meaning of ‘bewitched’ with love. The heart is set in 18k gold. The agate has a beautiful natural pattern with the caramel color overall. The total drop (N-S) measures approximately 25mm including the top loop, and the width is about 16mm at the widest. This pendant is in great condition with the natural patina in gold. The thumbnail and the last photo show the pendant paired with a Victorian snake chain (nfs). This listing is for the heart pendant only.
