An unusual and delightful early 20th century amethyst intaglio ring. The ring has a classic early 20th century design with a very unique 'fish/mythological dolphin' carving ; 'Delphin' was a dolphin-shaped sea daimon for the god Poseidon. The Amethys has an open-back setting, and the faceted back gives a nice reflection. The ring is 18k yellow gold, and the beautifully aged gold feels soft. The ring is fully English hallmarked : London, 18k Gold, 1921. Overall it is in very good condition.
