C.1870. An unusual 18k gold obelisk seal fob. The fob is in the shape of obelisk, and two garnet cabochons adorn two sides of it. The seal is made of chalcedony, and the carved motto says in French 'Je Ne Change Qu'en Mourant'; 'I change only in death.' translated in English. Along with the motto, there shows an image of a Laurel leaf which symbolizes 'constant and unchanging- evergreen'. Overall in great condition, and a beautiful one of a kind piece.
