C. 1870–1880s. A magnificent pair of English mid-Victorian pavé turquoise earrings. Crafted in 18k yellow gold, the design features double-orb pavé-set stones connected by finely crafted, triple-imbricated flexible snake chains. They have a wonderful tactile quality, blending a bold pop of color with the rich contrast of the high-karat gold. While quintessentially Victorian in origin, the geometric silhouette feels remarkably modern even after 170 years. These earrings are a superb example of timeless design and high-quality craftsmanship; they are comfortable when worn and have been preserved in excellent condition.
