C.1880s. A beautiful and versatile Victorian collar necklace. The collar is sterling silver, and has a substantial weight of 52.34 grams. Smartly designed geometric link still feels timeless and modern after 140 years. The necklace is identical on both sides, and it lays beautifully around the neck. The original large spring bolt clasp is still attached, and it is in great working order. This piece can be worn as a simple necklace, having the clasp at front or at the back. Or a pendant/locket can be hung if desired. 
The length of the collar measures approximately 17.3 inches, and the width is 0.55".  The diameter of the bolt ring is 0.67" (17mm). The collar is English in origin, and overall it is in great condition with the natural patina in silver.
