The mystery adds with the omitted 1909, 1912 and 1916 links, and that the chain contains three different maker's marks. Each link and the original dog clip clasp are all fully English hallmarked- Birmingham, maker's mark and the initial for the year: WD & S (W. Dowling & Sons) 'f' 1905, E & Co (Elkington & Co) 'h' 1907, E & Co 'h' 1908, V & S (unidentified) 'k' 1909, V & S 'l' 1910, V & S 'n' 1912... The back of each link is also engraved with '69030'. The length of this chain is 15.5 inches, and the width is approximately 12mm at the widest. The chain is housed in an antique box, and this listing includes the box as well. The condition of the chain is overall great with the natural patina in silver.
