A truly unique and gorgeous diamond and fede cameo pendant. Dated to the early 20th century, the pendant is made of ninety one old mine cut diamonds and an early 19th century carved agate cameo. The carving features a 'Fede' (clasped hands) motif. The name 'Fede' originates from the Italian words 'Mani in Fede', hands clasped in faith. 'Fede' symbolizes love & friendship, and is also often used for the meaning of betrothal. The stones are set in platinum on top and 14k yellow gold on the back. The total weight of diamonds is approximately 2.38ctw. The agate is beautifully well-zoned for its carving. Overall the pendant is in great condition, and is ready to be paired with a gold or platinum chain.
