Early 19th Century Enamel Vinaigrette Pendant

Early 19th Century Enamel Vinaigrette Pendant

A beautiful early 19th century black and white enamel vinaigrette pendant. The vinaigrette is in shape of a book, and the fine workmanship shows the floral enamel decoration on both sides. The hand cut mesh plate is in good working order fitting correctly into the frame inside. The pendant is 18k gold. It opens and closes with a good snap with a hidden hinge at the book gusset. It is French in origin with the rams head hallmark on the edge inside. Overall this piece is in very good condition.
