C.1860-1870. A grand tour souvenir micromosaic 'ROMA' brooch. Designed with geometric diamond wing shapes, the symmetric pattern depicts a white dove carrying flowers on each side. The tessera work shows a beautiful contrast in white, pink, crimson and blue colors. The center panel is adorned with the raised gold lettering of 'ROMA'. The brooch is crafted in 14k yellow gold. The clasp catches the bar pin firmly. Overall this piece is in good condition.
