Victorian Pavé Turquoise and Pearl Bell Pendant

Victorian Pavé Turquoise and Pearl Bell Pendant

C.1860s. An utterly endearing Victorian turquoise bell pendant. The pendant, in the shape of a bell, is encrusted with cabochon-cut pavé turquoise on the front, and matte gold on the back. A good size natural pearl with luster makes a lovely clapper. The original bale with the matching gemstone continues to complete the piece, and we love the triangular design that holds the body and the bale. The nice medium size makes the pendant very wearable, yet still offers a distinct appearance. There are no missing stones in this piece, and the overall color of the turquoise is very consistent. The pendant is crafted in warm 15k gold, and undoubtedly by a skilled jeweler. It is beautifully made, and has been preserved in excellent condition.
