A buckle was a popular motif in the Victorian period; it symbolized a meaning of fidelity in love, and loyalty in friendship. This wide bangle is beautifully engraved all around the front panel with an applied raised buckle. The buckle shows nice details with its two holes and a sharp prong with tiny silver beads that wrap around it. The bangle is fully English hallmarked: 1876, Birmingham, with a maker’s mark of ‘A&M’. The hinge is strong and secure. The bangle is in great condition overall, and is great either for stacking or for solo wear.
