Jet is fossilized wood, which has been compressed over thousands of years. “Whitby jet” was found at the seaside town of Whitby in England, and with its natural color of rich black, jet became a very popular gemstone in the Victorian period. Acorns symbolize power, victory, new life, and fertility.
