19th Century French Hand Stick Pin with Diamond

19th Century French Hand Stick Pin with Diamond

C.1870. A whimsical French origin 'hand' stick pin. The hand/gauntlet is small, yet it is full of character with beautiful details. We love the double-sided blue enamel striped sleeve and the texture of the piece. The hand is holding a bright old mine cut diamond. The stone is approximately 0.20ct+.  The pin will add an accent to your jacket collar or tie.

The pin stem has the French eagle's head hallmark. This hallmark is seen on French made pieces of gold since 1838, and represents items that have been tested to be constructed of a minimum 18k gold. Overall this piece is in good condition with minor surface wear.

Measurements: Approximately 0.6" x 0.22"
