C.1860-1870. A magnificent Italian Grand Tour ROMA bangle. The bangle is crafted in 18k gold, and it is double-sided. One side displays the word, ROMA at the center in raised lettering, with the granulations and wirework details on each end. The other side is designed in full panel with five diamond shaped patterns and the scroll work around them. The intricate gold granulation technique and wire work details are both at the finest quality. There are no missing details, and the letters remain crisp. The bangle opens and closes with a cylinder bar pin on the side, and the closure is secure. The gold feels delightfully warm and opulent. Overall the bangle is in excellent condition.
