C.1860. A pair of Victorian silver acorn earrings. Acorns symbolize power, victory, new life and fertility, and were a popular motif in the Victorian period. These are petite, yet have amazing details. The leaves are curled and have fine engravings which create a realistic appearance. The tiny acorns tops are finely crafted to also mimic real acorns. They are lightweight and hollow, evidenced by tiny holes in the back of the acorns, which allowed for the escape of air during the manufacturing process. In Excellent Condition
