A very unusual and rather captivating ancient Roman intaglio (300 A.D.) depicts a 'gleaner' picking from the dead. The gleaner is wearing armor, and it indicates that he is collecting in an aftermath of a combat. The intaglio is carved carnelian, and is set in mid 20th century with 14k yellow gold. The intaglio is small, but the ring has a strong character. We love it as a pinky ring. The ring has aged beautifully, and overall in very good condition.
