C.1700. A very special enamel and gold fob pendant. It is one of the rarest and earliest ones we've had. This medium sized fob is adorned with red, green and white enamel in a stripe pattern on its body, and the palette continues to the top with baroque swirls and oak leaf details. The carnelian bottom shows a fine carving, and the coronet indicates that it was carved for a prominent/noble family. The fob is 18k gold, and the bail tests 14k gold. Some minor wear on enamel is shown. Overall it is in very good condition.
Total Drop (N-S) : Approximately 33.5mm / 1.32"
