There is a '585' gold mark for 14k gold inside, along with the maker's mark of 'Larter and Sons'. Established as Larter, Elcox & Co. in 1865, Larter & Sons was founded in 1905, Newark, NJ. The company had a factory in Newark and their office on Maiden Lane in New York City. They specialized in gentleman's jewelry mainly. With their fine craftsmanship and refined designs, Larter & Sons became one of the most renowned American jewelers in history.
