French Drummer Boy Gold Pendant

French Drummer Boy Gold Pendant

An absolutely adorable and well-constructed 'Drummer Boy' pendant. This piece is 18k gold and French in origin. The figure is fully articulated, and has beautifully made details. The small chain has a smart mechanism that works with the cutout design of the drum - the flat area of the chain goes through the center of the drum. And to lock it, the chain needs to be pulled until the ball at the tip of the chain is caught at the cutout of the drum. (see this video on our Instagram.)
The pendant is substantial with the weight of 26.10 grams, and it is large in size. French marks are seen on the chain and a maker's mark of 'De Percin Paris' on the figure's leg. De Percin used this mark since the late 1930s. This workshop was founded by Gaétan de Percin in 1938, they manufactured mostly men's jewelry. This maker is also known for their work for Hermès and Fred.
Overall this piece is in great condition, and ready to be worn as a pendant or a brooch with a pin.

Total Drop : Approximately 53mm or 2.08" (from the loop on boy's hat to the bottom)
