C.1820-1830. A stunning pair of Georgian torpedo 'day and night' earrings. The earrings can be worn in two different ways. The torpedo drop ('night') can be detached through the ear wire, and the upper piece ('day') can be worn alone. Each torpedo ear pendant has exquisite cannetille details and the open cage work, suspended from the 'day' earring applied with an emerald-set fleur-de-lys design. The earrings are crafted in 15k gold, and have back-to-front closure fitting. They come in a fitted case shown in the third photo. The earrings have been beautifully preserved. Overall in great condition.
Total Drop: Approximately 2.60” (including the front wire)
