C.1790-1810. A sweet and endearing Georgian sepia miniature pin. It is beautifully made in an octagonal shaped frame with the white enamel border. The miniature painting under a domed glass cover, depicts four children playing outside in a garden. And the gestures and expressions of the children are very playful. Two are wearing skeleton suits and two in dresses. These children may all be boys, or three boys and a girl, as young boys wore dresses in this period. White enamel denotes purity and innocence.
The pin is crafted in 15k yellow gold, and it still has the original c-clasp. The white enamel is intact without any damage or missing areas. Overall this darling piece is in great condition.
Size: Approximately 0.95" x 0.70"
