C.1838. An English black enamel memorial/mourning ring. The center piece reads 'In Memory Of' in gothic script, and the ring is adorned with a blue enameled 'forget me not' flower on each side. The back of the ring must have been a locket area for woven hair, which now remains empty. The inscription around the locket reads 'W.H & J.I. Lord ob. 1850'. The ring is fully English hallmarked: 'WR' makers mark, 18k gold, London 1838. Overall in great condition without missing any enamel work.
