An adorable and whimsical 19th century figural mouse pendant. The mouse has red garnet eyes, and the body opens by gently pressing the end of the tail to release the hinge inside. We love the way it is made with the texture that shows when opened. The hinge is secure and in good working order. The mouse is silver, gilded with high karat gold. (tests 18-22k) 
On the tail of the mouse, there is a Wien/Vienna hallmark (1872 -1902).  Overall this rare mouse pendant is in great condition, and a wonderful collector's piece.
