C.1890-1900. A gorgeous late Victorian/Nouveau filigree openwork chain. The chain is warm 18k yellow gold, and each link is elaborately made with the 'fleur-de-lis' motif. Most likely the chain is a half sautoir with the length of 24.5 inches. It lays beautifully around the chest, and the chain feels substantial in this proportion with the weight of 24.27 grams. A locket or charms can be hung from the spring ring, or the chain can be worn as a necklace with the clasp at the back of the neck. Overall in great condition with natural patina.
*This listing doesn't include the chain on the outside.
