C.1860. A beautifully made mid-Victorian blue enamel diamond locket. The locket features a starburst motif at its center, and has an open-back photo compartment, which remains with a sepia photo of a gentleman with a cap. (the photo can be removed by a skilled jeweler if desired.)
The enamel displays a robin's egg blue color, and the locket is crafted in 18k yellow gold. With its medium-sized scale, the locket is easy to wear, and it feels substantial with the weight of 11.70 grams. It is English in origin, and the overall condition is very good.
Size: Approximately 34mm x 21mm including the bale.
