This Austro-Hungarian Saint George pendant from the late 19th century depicts three-dimensional St. George on a horse fighting a dragon. A green enameled dragon with red eye is upside down fighting St. George, and the jumping horse in white enamel is carrying St. George on his back while St. George holds his spear. Tiny white seed pearl beads decorate the part of the link chain holding the pendant to the loop at the top. One bead on the top seems to be a replacement, but is hard to notice due to its very small scale. Another seed pearl on the right side of the chain is missing, but doesn’t get noticed unless under very fine observation. There are slight signs of enamel wear on the back of the pendant.
