C.1790-1820. A rare pair of Wedgwood cherub cameo earrings. They are beautifully made in an elongated octagonal shape with three colors. Purple, green and white form a lovely color combination that is more sought after in early Wedgwood jewelry. Two different motifs depict cherubs playing with the musical instruments. These adorable winged creatures are holding and blowing their horns. We found these earrings in a gold frame of the same design, but enhanced them by giving a new setting that fits seamlessly and more securely around the plaques. The gold frame and new ear wires are 18k yellow gold. Impressed 'WEDGWOOD' mark is seen on the back of the plaques. The earrings are lightweight and very easy to wear. Overall the pair is in very good condition.
Size (plaque) : Approximately 15mm x 10.5mm or 0.59" x 0.41"
