C. 1880–1890. A set of two Victorian beaded necklaces. One features plain yellow gold with oval and rice-grain-shaped links; the other is composed of alternating yellow gold and matte black enamel beads (enamel over gold). The beads in the latter are shaped as ovals, rice grains, and small orbs of gold and black enamel.

The gold feels incredibly soft and rich, and both pieces are crafted in 14k gold, including the clasps. These are offered as a set, yet each can be worn on its own or styled easily with other chains. The gold bead necklace measures approximately 17.5 inches, and the black enamel one is about 19 inches. Both are highly versatile and in great overall condition.
