C.1870. A gorgeous mid-Victorian black enamel and rose cut diamond locket. The diamond pansy flower symbolizes 'remembrance' or 'thinking of you'. (coming from the French word, 'pense' = 'think')  
The locket is 14k gold, and the diamonds are set in silver. The back of the locket has a photo compartment. The locket is in great condition.
