C.1870-1880. A mid-Victorian 18k gold band with the shoulders in black enamel. The center has a cushion cut diamond that is approximately 0.3 carats. The ring is marked with '18ct', and the stone has an open back setting. The diamond has a charmingly imperfect shape yet it is overall clear and bright. The ring is in very good condition.
