A gorgeous mid-Victorian five stone chrysoberyl ring. The soft pastel green colored stones display a beautiful glow. The chunky cushion cut stones are all original, and have magnificent clarity with no surface reaching inclusions. The ring is fully English hallmarked: 18ct (18k gold), Birmingham (anchor), 'b' for the year of 1876 and 'A&S’ (maker's mark). The total carat weight is approximately 2.50ct; the center stone is about 1.20ct, two larger stones next to the center are 0.40ct each, and the smaller ones are 0.25ct each.
The stones are set in a scrollwork frame, and the ring sits nicely low. Currently the U.S size of this ring is 7.5-8, and it is resizable within moderation. Overall the ring is in very good condition.
