A small Victorian bloodstone watch fob locket. The front of the locket shows a beautiful monogram of 'MD' or 'DM' in gold. The locket opens and reveals a sweet inscription: 24 Décembre 1861 2h moins 1/4 (December 24 1861, 2 hours minus 1/4). Perhaps it indicates a time of birth or a special moment at 1:45. This type of small locket would have been an accessory to a watch chain. The locket is 18k yellow gold including the bail. The tiny tip of M is missing, but only can be seen at close inspection. Overall the locket is in great condition, and the monogram has crisp details.
