C.1870-1880. A beautiful Victorian snake chain necklace. The chain is English in origin and 15k gold. High karat gold antique snake chains are getting very hard to find these days, and one with generous length is more so. This chain measures 17.75 inches, and the width of the link is approximately 2.7mm. It weighs 19.65 grams. This medium-chunky snake chain contains four Etruscan revival oval beads in between that are adorned with classic Etruscan style gold work. Wear it on its own, or layer it with other chains/necklaces. This chain necklace easily goes well with many other pieces. The barrel clasp closes with a click, and is in good working order. Overall the chain is in great condition.
