C.1880. A superb pair of Victorian tortoise shell drop earrings. The earrings are beautifully articulated, and three drops give movement when worn. The clever and fun design like this is the reason why we love Victorian jewelry. These still feel modern after 140 years.
The earrings are semi-translucent, and have a deep dark brown tone well mixed with an auburn color. These are lightweight and easy to wear. The ear wires test slightly higher than 14k gold. Overall the earrings are in great condition.
Total Drop (Longest) : Approximately 2.12” (without the front wire)
Total Drop (Shortest) : Approximately 1.10"
Width: Approximately 0.90" (the top span)
